Nio's battery swap stations set a new daily record, breaking their own previous record just two days after the Chinese New Year travel rush. In just 24 hours, 158,290 battery swaps were performed at 3,750 stations, an impressive feat. This comes on the heels of reaching their 100 millionth swap on February 6, a significant milestone for the EV maker. The network performed around 6,595 replacements per hour, or 110 swaps per minute, with the top three stations located on highways. The station near Fuzhou, Fujian, performed 166 swaps in 24 hours, but the fourth-generation PSS can handle 480 swaps daily, replacing a depleted battery with a charged one in just three minutes. The peak of the travel rush is yet to come, with an expected 71 million cars on the road on February 22, potentially setting another record for Nio. Nio's battery swap station network is expanding, with strategic cooperation agreements signed with CATL, Changan, Geely, Chery GAC, FAW, and JAC, among others, to launch BEVs compatible with their power swap stations, increasing their network's workload and profitability.
