"We need to ensure our justices are above political influence," Blackburn wrote on X. "An investigation is necessary to confirm Justice Jackson's impartiality."
Blackburn's letter to Chief Justice John Roberts urged him to look into Jackson's participation at the Grammys, an event she described as "highly charged" and "anti-law enforcement." She highlighted speeches by artists like Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, who criticized former President Donald Trump's immigration policies, and the presence of "ICE Out" pins worn by many attendees.
"It's rare for Supreme Court justices to attend events with such polarized rhetoric," Blackburn argued. "An investigation is warranted to ensure Justice Jackson's impartiality."
